SUNDAY SERMON

DANGERS IN LIFE’S JOURNEY

Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

-PSALMS 25:19

Today’s sermon focused on a prayer from King David and hit on two main points. The first point David’s Request (Psalms 25:19a “Consider mine enemies’).  The pastor the broke down for us the three main enemies of the believer. The first is the world who hates us and God, the second was Satan who is evil and lobbies against us, finally was our flesh which is wicked and sinful.  Only through Christ can we resist the enemies that must be overcome.  The final point David’s Reason (Psalm’s 25:19b for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.) Here we see that there are indeed enemies, thieves who wan’t to break into our homes, sin which strives to consume our lives, trials and heartaches which seek to separate us from God, but we don’t need to be intimidated by these because God is our Supreme Power,  God always leads us in victory, We are more then conquerors,  God has even conquered death, Greater is he that is in us then he that Is in us then he that is in the world.  The sermon was really moving and informative.  The Pastor concluded with a call to action for all believers to stand strong against the adversary, be bold in our faith and challenge adversity.
